Embrace Your Story - Seeing the Beauty Out of the Mess

To say we had a lovely time visiting with each other, hearing about Jane and Bea's mission trip to the Philippines, hearing Jane share her store and enjoying the delicious Flan Cake would be an understatement. I had such a fantastic evening with my fellow moms and I'm so blessed that you'll are part of our group and we get to share and grow together.

Please enjoy a few pictures from our evening together that concluded with some beautiful MOPPETs tshirts designed by non other than MOM!

Embrace Your Story - Seeing the Beauty Out of the Mess

Our speaker for November is our own MOPS coordinator Jane Sparling. Here is a brief bio on Jane.

I was born in sunny Honolulu just before my parents celebrated their first anniversary.  My father was in the Army at the time.  He resigned from the Army nine months after my birth and moved us to the small town in New York state where his dad operated a marina.  He went to work for his father, took over the business once his father retired and is still running the business at 74 years of age.
My mother has worked right alongside my father in the business for the entire 51 years of their marriage.  She was always there for us after school and our many activities.  Their loving example and spiritual guidance has made me who I am today.  I am the eldest of four children.  One sister lives about 15 minutes from our parents and my other sister and brother live about five minutes away from each other in Virginia Beach.  My beautiful Ali dog is my constant companion and brings lots of joy to my life.  I work as a sales & marketing manager for a specialty medical distribution company, where I have been happily employed for almost 14 years.  One of the greatest joys of my life has been my involvement in starting and coordinating our MOPS group for the past 10 years.  Our moms and kids rock!!

As with many people, my life did not end up taking the direction that I thought it would.  I ended up with one gigantic mess that over time has become untangled and lead me to a beautiful place after all of it.  I have learned to embrace my story and see the beauty out of the mess.  I hope that after you hear my story you will be able to do the same.

Let's Get Messy!

Our October session can be described as fun, messy and creative as we saw some creatively messy costumes and hairdos (or don'ts =))! We heard from Monica on setting and managing our priorities. We also got some great decorating advice from Annie who is part of the Montclair MOPS group. Here are some pictures from our evening.
