February - Activity Calendar from MOPS

Hi Ladies - Please find the Activity Calendar created by MOPS which we received from Jane.  I love the ideas it provides for things to do with our little ones.

Feb - Activity Calendar from MOPS

Be blessed!

Sorry - Mom's Not Perfect

Our next MOPS event is happening on February 23rd and if you join us, you will get to hear from our guest speakers, Pastor Bill and Diane Hegedus of Bible Baptist Church.

Bill and Diane Hegedus met each other in their freshman year at Bob Jones University.  They fell in love and married the following summer, August 22, 1965.

Their first of seven children came along the following August in 1966, they were nineteen-year-old parents.  It took about ten years of marriage before they realized that there would be no fulfillment and spiritual peace until they surrendered to full-time Christian service.  So they sold their house, packed up the first four kids and moved to Chattanooga TN.  Bill then completed his college education graduating at the top of his class at Tennessee Temple University.

In January of 1981, the family moved to Kingsport, TN, where Bill became the Children’s Pastor to over 500 kids.  Much of Joe Hegedus’ and  Jen Watkins’ ability and passion to work with kids came as a result of those years.  In 1983, through an unanticipated turn of events, God led Bill to plant a church in Kingsport.  That church is still do well today. During those years as pastor in Kingsport, Bill also completed a Master’s Program from Liberty University.  In June of 1988,  Bill resigned his position as senior pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Kingsport TN.  That same exact Sunday, the former pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Hasbrouck Heights NJ also resigned his position as senior pastor.  As God would have it, the ever growing Hegedus Family would be moving to Hasbrouck Heights in January of 1989.

Pastor Bill and Diane have been active in almost all the ministries here at BBC at one time or another.  Their passion is applying the Word of God into our lives regarding every area we live.  They believe this begins in the crib and doesn’t cease this side of Heaven.   While Pastor Bill was busy making decisions for the ministries, Diane also was active in many ministries here at BBC. She has served the women of the church, taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School (now called Summer Adventure Camp), AWANA, and been active with Passion Play all while raising seven children and all the “fun” stuff that goes with it (meals, laundry, cleaning).

When you marry at age eighteen and you remain married for 46 years, the word “Sorry” becomes a fundamental part of that marriage.  You not only say “I’m sorry” to your spouse, but also to your children.  Learning your boundaries, teaching your loved ones boundaries is not an easy task.  Sometimes, you hold too tightly.  Sometimes you don’t hold tightly enough.  Mistakes are made.  You can’t always undo your mistakes, but sincerely saying “I’m sorry” goes a long way toward healing emotional wounds.

Have You FARKLED??
